Hours of operations

Monday-Friday 9AM - 6PM. (CST) Weekend Calls may be limited. Extended Hours: Email support is available 7 days a week (with the exception of observed holidays). Please email outside our call hours for assistance as soon as possible Appointment Hours / Fees: Appointments are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day (with the exception of observed holidays) Before / After Hours Appointment Fees: 4AM-7AM: $100/artist 8AM-5PM: NO FEE 5PM-3AM: $100/artist

What is your cancellation policy? 

All appointments are paid in advance and require a 24-hour cancellation. Less than a 24-hour notice will result in a charge of $100. No shows will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount. This charge will be added to your invoice. Please email us at if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment!


Weddings/Events: In the event of a wedding/event cancellation the retainer will not be refunded. If the event is cancelled 60 days or less prior, the full balance is owed. All changes need to be made 60 days prior to your wedding day to be eligible for a refund. You are more than welcome to add on services but if someone cancels within 60 days before your wedding you must notify us to update our artist's timeline. You may replace them with someone else but there are no refunds within 60 days before your wedding day. 

How far in advance should I book my appointment? 

Sooner is always better than later! We prefer at least 1 week for non-wedding appointments but can sometimes accommodate last minute requests. The average time is about 6 months in advance for weddings/events, but we have some clients that book 12 to 16 months out. 

Where do appointments take place? 

We are able to come on-location, travel fee of $50 within the DFW metroplex.

How can I pay my invoice?

Credit card payments via Square invoice. (3% fee will be applied to total)

Are there any observed holiday appointment fees? 

Kay Castro Beauty is open and available for client services 365 days a year, however, we do have the following hours / charges for observed holidays. For holiday dates, services need to be prepaid in full 24 hours prior to service date/time. How long is the appointment? 

For an individual hair/makeup appointments: 

Hair & Makeup: 2-3 hours

Hair Service Only: 1 - 1.5 hour 

Makeup Service Only: 1 hour

How do I prepare for my appointment? 

Please come with a clean, and makeup free moisturized face and clean, 100% dry hair. Hair is best blow-dried smooth to ensure a frizz free end result. If you have natural curly texture and want to enhance that in your style vs a curling iron effect, then you can come with your hair naturally curly, with leave it products that help with hold and frizz control. Have any inspiration photos ready to show your artist.

If you have makeup products you absolutely love and would like to use for your event, please feel free to bring it with you if you prefer us to use it on you! 

We encourage you to bring your veil, earrings, or any other accessories that will help you envision your complete look!

Group Reservations : Please have all party members in the same location prior to the service start time, unless you have made prior arrangements with us. This insures that services will be completed within the time frame reserved for your group

Do you offer trial runs? 

Yes!  We highly encourage trial runs

We want you to feel confident with your makeup|hairstyle for your special day!  To insure we are aligned with your vision we highly encourage you to share your makeup and hairstyle inspirations.  Please feel free to look at our Instagram for inspirations! 

What kind of products do you use? 


We use professional, camera-ready hair and makeup products. We only use products that we know will give you a flawless look and that will last the longest. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, let us know any of your concerns at the trial run or email us at in advance and we are happy to accommodate your needs as best we can.

What are your sanitation | health protocols? 

Makeup: All makeup brushes are cleaned and sanitized in between each client. In the event of time restraints on sanitizing in between clients, new brushes will be used 


Makeup: Disposable mascara wands and disposable lip wands are used for said products. For eye shadow, blush, eyeliner and some lip services, sanitized brushes are used to apply said products. 


Hair Styling: All brushes, combs are cleaned and sanitized in between clients. In the event of time restrains on sanitizing in between clients, new brushes and combs will be used
