Hours of operations
Monday-Friday 9AM - 6PM CST Weekend Calls may be limited. Extended Hours: Email support is available 7 days a week (with the exception of observed holidays). What is your cancellation policy?
All appointments must be paid in advance, and a 24 notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior will incur a fee of $100, while no-shows will be charged the full amount of the reserved service. This fee will be added to your invoice. For rescheduling or cancellations, please email us at beauty@kaycatro.com.
Weddings/Events: Please note that the retainer for wedding/event cancellations is non-refundable. If an event is canceled within 60 days or less, the full balance is due. To be eligible for a refund, all changes must be made 60 days prior to your wedding day. You can add services anytime, but if someone cancels within 60 days before your wedding, please inform us to adjust our artist's timeline. You may replace them with someone else; however, refunds are not available within days of your wedding day.
How early should I schedule my appointment?
It's always best to book sooner rather than later! We recommend scheduling at least 1 week in advance for non-wedding appointments, though we can occasionally handle last-minute requests. For weddings and events, the typical booking time is around 6 months in advance, but some clients reserve their dates 12 to 16 months ahead.
Where do the appointments take place?
We can come to your location for a travel fee of $50 within the DFW metroplex. You also have the option to visit our studio in Lewisville, 75077.
How can I pay my invoice?
Credit card payments via Square invoice. (4% fee will be applied to total)

Are there any observed holiday appointment fees?
Kay Castro Beauty is open and available for client services 365 days a year, however, we do have the following hours / charges for observed holidays. For holiday dates, services need to be prepaid in full 24 hours prior to service date/time. How long will appointment take?
For individual hair and makeup sessions:
- Hair & Makeup: 2-3 hours
- Hair Service: 1 - 1.5 hours
- Makeup Service Only: 1 hour
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free, and moisturized face, along with clean, completely dry hair. For the best results, it's ideal to blow-dry your hair smooth to avoid frizz. If you have naturally curly hair and wish to enhance that texture instead of using a curling iron, feel free to come with your hair its natural curls, using leave-in products for hold and frizz control.’t forget to bring any inspiration photos to share with your stylist.
If you have favorite makeup products you'd like us to use for your event, please bring them along!
We also recommend bringing your veil, earrings, or any accessories to help visualize your complete look!

Group Reservations: To guarantee prompt service, please make sure all members of your party are gathered in the same location before the scheduled start time, unless you have made prior arrangements with us.
Payment:
Please note that we only accept a single payment method for group reservations, except for cash payments.

Additionally, inform your artist of any allergies health issues before beginning any service.
Do you offer trial runs?
Absolutely! We strongly recommend trial runs.
It's important to us that you feel about your makeup and hairstyle on your special day! To ensure we capture your vision, we invite you to share your inspirations for both. Don't hesitate to check out our Instagram for additional ideas!
What kind of products do you use?
We use professional, camera-ready hair and makeup products. We only use products that we know will give you a flawless look and that will last the longest. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, let us know any of your concerns at the trial run or email us at beauty@kaycastr.com in advance and we are happy to accommodate your needs as best we can.
What are your sanitation and health protocols?
Makeup: All makeup brushes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each client. If time does not permit sanitizing between clients, new brushes will be utilized.
Disposable mascara wands and lip wands are used for their respective products. For eyeshadow, blush, eyeliner, and certain lip services, sanitized brushes are employed for application.
Hair Styling: All brushes and combs are cleaned and sanitized between clients. If time constraints prevent sanitization, new brushes and combs will be provided.
